Disney present from Pride of the Isle

A little boy got a big Disney surprise when Epworth’s Pride of the Isle ladies visited on his birthday.

Four-year old Oliver McNaughton received a birthday visit from film characters Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and Olaf from Frozen, as a special treat for the youngster whose family has been smitten by cancer.

Oliver’s mum, Debra McNaughton has terminal cancer, and his brother Connor was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer. The Lex’s Legacy Pride of the Isle fundraisers have raised £2000 to help Connor, and aim to give the family special memories in these current precious months.

They are to send the family, including Oliver’s sister Courtney, to Legoland to make more happy memories on March 21. Online auctions are taking place continually and anyone wishing to help can contact Pride of the Isle members via the facebook site, or log on to donation site www.justgiving.com/yimby/Poi-Connor-Morley

Pride of the Isle chair Leesa Sharpe said: “Debs wanted to make Oliver’s party special and something he will remember.”
