Dearne set for chilly but sunny weekend

People in the Dearne Valley are advised to wrap up warm this weekend, with temperatures expected to fall to 0°C.

According to a Met Office forecast Doncaster will be mostly dry and bright with some winter sunshine through the day today (Saturday, January 24). It is expected to feel chilly though with a cold westerly breeze.

A few brief wintry showers may also occur in the west through the day. Maximum Temperature 5 °C.


It will become cloudier during the evening and night, with winds easing for a time.

There may be some patchy drizzle towards the end of the night, especially over the Dales.

Minimum Temperature 0 °C.


The day will be breezy with variable cloud and a few bright spells.

There will be a scattering of showers at times, with more persistent rain and drizzle in the west over hills, and it will feel milder than Saturday.

Maximum Temperature 9°C.
