A DEARNE author will launch her latest novel at Barnsley next month.
Hoyland-born Jane Sanderson’s newest literary work is titled ‘ Ravenscliffe’. She won previous acclaim for her debut novel Netherwood, that was described as ‘perfect for Downton Abbey fans’ and is set in Yorkshire at the beginning of the twentieth century.
There are many parallels between the lives of the fictional characters of Jane’s novels and those of the Fitzwilliam family of Wentworth Woodhouse, making her novels the ideal companion reads to Catherine Bailey’s best selling book ‘Black Diamonds: the Rise and Fall of an English Dynasty’.
Coun Jenny Platts, Cabinet member for Adults and Communities said: “Barnsley Libraries are delighted to be hosting this book launch for a Barnsley-born author and I am sure that the event will be enjoyable and informative.”
The launch will be at Barnsley central library on September 24 at 2.30pm.
Copies of both Jane’s books will be available to buy and she will sign them on request.

It is a free event but places will be limited.
