A DEARNE cricket club is playing host to a family fun day on Sunday, August 19.
The event, held at Upper Haugh Cricket Club, has been organised by house-builder Taylor Wimpey for the second year running.
Their dedicated employees will be on hand to provide cakes, a barbeque, tombola, and will also take part in a one-off cricket match against the club’s finest players.
Everyone is welcome to attend the event, which is being held in aid of KeyHouse, a charity which helps homeless people, and to raise money for club funds.
Anne Bagshaw, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, said: “We are thrilled to once again organise a family fun day at this great club.
“We named our development which is adjacent to the club and overlooks the grounds ‘The Wickets’; and promised to do all we could for the surrounding area.
“This is a great way of gathering members of the local community in an enjoyable but charitable way.”
Tickets are available on the day and members of the public are encouraged to visit for what promises to be fun for the whole family, with a bouncy castle for the kids and a number of stalls for adults to peruse.
The club is located on Wentworth Road, Rawmarsh.
