A WOMAN escaped without serious injury despite her car running out of control and landing on its roof after a collision with a lorry.
The 29-year-old was travelling along the Dearne Valley parkway, Birdwell, Barnsley, when her car overturned near the Rockingham roundabout.
Her silver Vauxhall Corsa’s bodywork was damaged when it rolled, with a number of windows smashing – showering the road with glass.
Paramedics called out to the crash scene assessed the woman and transferred her to Barnsley District General Hospital.
Police officers closed the road while they investigated the circumstances and arrangements were made for the vehicle to be removed.
