Three women arrested in prostitution crackdown in Doncaster

Three women have been arrested on suspicion of loitering for the purpose of prostitution in Doncaster.

Police received a number of reports from concerned residents about street prostitution in the vicinity of Thorne Road, Doncaster.

Officers from Intake and Wheatley Safer Neighbourhood Team have been completing high visibility patrols.

As part of the operation, nine adults were also cautioned for loitering, two were cautioned for kerb crawling and 22 home office warnings were issued.

Inspector Carl Lindlay said: “We will continue to tackle this issue as a priority. We are committed to increased patrols and will continue to work with a number of support agencies to offer support to women involved in this type of crime.”
