Three people have been charged with attempted murder after a man was gunned down.
The shooting is believed to have involved a feud between two families on the Lands End caravan site, where police were called about 10.50pm on Sunday to reports of a firearms incident.
A police spokesman said: “It is believed a shotgun had been fired within the caravan site. A 22-year-old man was found with gun shot injuries and was taken to hospital.
“Two men, aged 45 and 17, and a 22-year-old woman, were arrested in connection with the incident and have today been charged with attempted murder. Officers believe this was a targeted attack.”
The 22-year-old man, who has not been named, was transferred in a critical condition from Doncaster to the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, early on Monday with wounds to his torso but is now said to be ‘stable’.
Henry Gaskin, aged 45, Sammy Josephine Gaskin, 22, and a 17-year-old boy are due to appear before Doncaster magistrates.
