A sports project set up by South Yorkshire Police is said to be responsible for a drop in anti-social behaviour in five of the six communities where sessions are held.

Reports dropped between October 2013 and September 2015.

The project, which offers free football, boxing and dancing sessions, was set up in Goldthorpe in 2010.

Deputy Chief Constable Andy Holt said the project has ‘made great strides in uniting communities’.
