A South Yorkshire Police officer has been sacked over allegations he recorded people having sex at dogging spots.

PC Adrian Pogmore, 48, was alleged to have filmed from South Yorkshire Police force’s helicopter and taken the footage home.

He was dismissed without notice following a special case hearing.

A force spokesman said: “Following a gross misconduct investigation an officer appeared before a Special Case Hearing with the Chief Constable on Friday, March 6. He was dismissed without notice.”

It is claimed PC Pogmore filmed at dogging spots while on official duties.

He is said to have been reported following the breakdown of his marriage.

The allegation led to a police search of his home in Rotherham.
