A predatory sex attacker from Rotherham has been jailed for four-and-a-half years after carrying out a terrifying assault in a deserted car park in Jersey.
Anthony Jalam carried his terrified victim to the corner of a car park before subjecting her to a ‘brutal’ 20-minute assault.
The 22-year-old woman later told police she thought she was going to die during the attack in which she was trapped between a parked car and wall, hit four times to the head and forced to perform a sex act.
Jalam, aged 28, of Garbroads Crescent, Rotherham. went under the name Anthony Hunt while living in South Yorkshire and has previous convictions including possession of an offensive weapon, domestic violence and burglary.
He was jailed after pleading guilty to indecent assault and assault.
Crown Advocate William Redgrave said Jalam ‘would not take no for an answer’. He said: “She was effectively his prisoner for a 20-minute ordeal, during which he assaulted her both sexually and violently.”
Jalam and the woman met for the first time only a few hours before the assault, happened in the early hours of March 23.
CCTV footage was played which showed Jalam and the woman walking away from a nightclub kissing and hugging.
The pair continued to kiss when they entered a car park, but when Jalam attempted to lift her up the woman pulled away.
When she attempted to leave, Jalam pushed her, picked her up and carried her over his shoulder to a space behind a parked car.
Jalam was also given an eight-year restraining order and a two-year exclusion order barring him from licensed premises.
