FIVE Thurnscoe men have been arrested in connection with the theft of cable from a railway line.
The men, aged 21, 29, 30, 31 and 37, were picked up when officers swooped on their home addresses in a pre-planned operation.
Their arrests were in connection with the theft of cable from a railway line near to Knottingley station in Wakefield on September 29, that resulted in major disruption to rail services and misery to thousands of people.
All five men have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
