Police search for missing Barnsley man

Police are searching for a South Yorkshire man reported missing from home for a week.

Anthony Brown, aged 47, from Darton, Barnsley, was last seen by a relative in Darton on Monday, January 20.

Officers believe he may have driven to North Yorkshire in his Silver Mazda 3.

He also has connections in Pudsey, West Yorkshire, and may have travelled there.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “It is out of character for Mr Brown to go missing and police are keen to ensure he is safe and well.”

Mr Brown is white, around 5ft 9ins tall, slim, with shaved hair and sometimes wears reading glasses.

He was last seen wearing dark blue jeans, a denim checked shirt, a navy blue cable-knit cardigan and a pair of beige-coloured boots.
