Police in Rotherham are searching for a missing ostrich-like bird following reported sightings.
The rhea escaped from a private collection in Carlton-in-Lindrick, near Worksop, overnight on Monday.
There have been reported sightings around Rother Valley Country Park and Dinnington.
The bird is described as ‘aggressive’.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Officers are there to ensure that there is no risk to members of the public and the bird is located and captured as soon as possible.
“The bird is believed to be aggressive and anyone who sees the bird should call 999.”
