Police are hunting a 29-year-old man accused of an assault who failed to attend court.

Rotherham man Trevor Christopher Miller was due to appear at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 3, after being charged with assault but he did not show up.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “This is in relation to an incident in January, when Miller allegedly assaulted a woman known to him while she was walking in Dinnington.

“South Yorkshire Police has conducted extensive enquiries to try and locate Miller, but officers are now asking for the public’s help.”

He is described as being 6ft 2ins tall, with short brown hair. He has a tattoo of the name ‘Natasha’ on his right arm and a distinctive birthmark on the back of his left hand.

Miller is believed to frequent the Kiveton and Dinnington areas of Rotherham.

Anyone who believes they may have seen him or knows his location is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting crime reference number C/6289/2014.
