Detectives investigating the death of 44-year-old Giovanni Leggieri in Doncaster have issued a photograph and re-appeal for information to trace his last movements.
Police were called at around 5.20am on Sunday September 14 to a property in Balby Road, where the body of Mr Leggieri was discovered.
A post-mortem examination concluded that he died from a single stab wound.
Officers state that Mr Leggieri, who was known as John or Johnny, had shorter hair than in the attached photo and it had also started to go grey.
Mr Leggieri also had a moustache and is believed to have been living in Doncaster for around four to five months. Prior to this, he lived in West Yorkshire.
The circumstances surrounding Mr Leggieri’s death remain unclear but police are not currently seeking anyone in connection with the incident.
Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who knows Mr Leggieri and who may have seen him in the weeks before his death.
