Nine police cars descended onto a Doncaster street to arrest one man on suspicion of assault

Police became concerned for the safety of a woman late last night – a man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

South Yorkshire Police, said: “Police were called at 1.15am with reports of concern for the safety of a woman on Broxholme Lane, Wheatley.“A 33 year old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody at this time.”
