Man injured after chase with home raiders

A MAN is in hospital with head injuries after he was struck by raiders who he chased out of his South Yorkshire home.

The 38-year-old had been at his house on Chestnut Avenue, Stainforth, in the early hours of the morning when three men got inside the property.

Police say he confronted them and chased them out of the house.

He was struck on the head as he pursued them and is currently in hospital with a head injury, which police said is not serious.

Investigating officer PC Billy Mclean said: “If anyone has any information or has heard anything regarding the incident or who may have been involved, I would urge them to contact the police, or Crimestoppers anonymously.”
