Latest suspect arrested over murder of Lewis Williams in Mexborough bailed by police

A 54-year-old Rotherham man was arrested on Monday, January 25 on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder following the death of 20-year-old Lewis Williams, who was gunned down on Wath Road, Mexborough, two weeks earlier.
He has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
Six other men arrested earlier in the murder probe also remain on bail.

Hide AdLast weekend a third suspect was charged as part of the investigation.
Ryan Nisbet, 20, of Springwood Road, Barnsley, was charged with murder and is remanded in custody awaiting court.
Two boys, aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are also accused of murder and in custody.
DCI James Axe has described the murder as a ‘horrific incident’.
