Bizimana Moussa from Hyde Park has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison for a sexual assault he committed in June last year.
On Saturday, 16 June, 2012, Moussa was at a property in the Hyde Park area with a woman and two other men.
While the woman, 36, was asleep, Moussa sexually assaulted her. The two men forced him out of the flat and contacted the police.
Moussa appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday, 6 June, and pleaded guilty to the offence.
PS Jenny Merrick said: “Moussa took advantage of this woman while she was asleep and defenceless without any consideration for his actions.
“I am pleased with the sentence and would always encourage anyone who is a victim of sexual assault to contact the police.”
