Doncaster Crime round-up: Burglars steal car; pub handbag raid

The following crimes were reported to police on May 5 and May 6. Anyone with information, call South Yorkshire Police on 101.

Balby: A purse and a £500 tablet computer were stolen from a house on Furnival Road, between 11.30pm on Sunday and 8am on Monday. The thieves entered through an unsecured window.

Dunscroft: Thieves stole a car from outside a house on The Broadway on Sunday night after stealing the keys from inside the property. They snapped a lock in the patio doors to get inside and then too a blue Citroen Picasso. It was between 11pm on Sunday and 8am on Monday.

Town centre: A handbag containing a mobile phone, purse and cash was stolen from a customer at Mint 17, on Bradford Row, on Sunday night. Police are warning the public not to leave items unattended after the incident at around 11pm on Sunday.

Adwick: A £250 mountain bike was stolen by raiders who broke into a detached garage at a house on Red House Lane. It was between 12noon and 3pm on Monday.

Thorne: Would be thieves are thought to have fled after an alarm went off when they tried to break into a garage on Union Road between 10.30pm on Friday and 1pm Monday.

Cantley: A bike was stolen from a garden outside a house on Elmham Road. It had been left insecure. The raid was thought to be at around 11pm on Sunday.

Armthorpe: Thieves took a £100 mountain bike which was chained up outside a house on Hatfield Lane between 10.30pm Sunday and 12.30pm Monday.

Intake: A spare wheel was stole from a Mercedes Sprinter van as it was parked on Lonsdale Avenue between Sunday 11.30am and Monday 10.30am.

Belle Vue: Thieves took a spare wheel from a Ford Transit van on Clumber Road between Sunday 6pm and Monday 11.30am.

Wheatley Park: A spare wheel was stolen from a Ford Transit van on Barnby Dun Road at around 2.45am on Monday. Two figures were seen near the van.

Bentley: A garden swing was stolen from a garden at a house on The Avenue. Police think metal thieves were behind the raid, between 11pm on Sunday and 12noon Monday.
