Doncaster crime round-up, August 14: Thieves raid Doncaster hospice

The following incidents were reported on Wednesday August 13 and Thursday August 14. Anyone with information, call police on 101.

Balby: Thieves have broken into the chapel at St John’s Hospice, stealing tools and lead. They smashed a window at the site between 5pmon Tuesday and 7am on Wednesday, and stole tools inside, as well as lead which had been part of the window. Anyone with information call police and quote incident 78062/2014.

Dunscroft: Burglars stole items including a video games console, games and an tablet computer in a raid on a house at Abbey Road. The thief had forced the door lock to get inside the property.

Stainforth: A jetski was stolen from a garage by thieves who broke into a garage on Chestnut Avenue. The criminals who struck between 10pm on Tuesday and 7.30am on Wednesday also took a BMX bike and fishing tackle after forcing the lock on the door. Police want anyone who is offered a jetski for sale to contact them.

Edenthorpe: A racing bike was stolen from a shed on Cloverley Road. The door on the shed had been forced between 2pm on Saturday and 10.30am on Wednesday.

Balby: Two skips were stolen from Springwell Lane. The skips were next to one another in the street when they were taken. Officers say a skip lorry would have been used to take them away. They were stolen between July 30 and August 13.

Balby: Garden ornaments worth £14 were stolen from outside a house on Haig Road, Balby, on Sunday night. The ornaments, depicting a bee and a butterfly house, were taken between 11pm on Sunday and 9am on Monday.
