Doncaster crime round-up - £2,000 burglary at Bessacarr

The following crimes were reported to Doncaster police on August 11. Anyone with information should call 101.

Bessacarr: Burglars who broke into a house in Howden Close by smashing a rear patio door yesterday lunchtime got away with £2,000 worth of property including jewellery, a computer, a notebook and a console.

Edlington: A television and an iPad were stolen when burglars got into a house in Princes Crescent through an insecure window over the weekend.

Balby: A door was left unlocked at a house in St John’s Road on Saturday and Sunday and the owner’s £500 mobile phone disappeared.

Intake: Two mountain bikes were stolen when the shewd door lock was forced at a house in Northumberland Avenue over the weekend.

Bentley: A cultivator was taken when the padlock of an outbuilding in Wellington Grove was broken on Sunday night.

Town centre: A shopper had a £200 phone stolen from her bag while shopping in Primark, Market Place, yesterday afternoon, and an unlocked cycle was taken from outside the same store in the morning.

Thorne: A satnav has been stolen from an insecure car parked in West Street on Sunday night.

Woodlands: A black Huoniao motorbike, valued at £1,000, was stolen from the driveway of a house in Windmill Balk Lane around 7.15pm yesterday.

Town centre: A woman who got on a bus at Doncaster Interchange and realised she had left her phone on a bench discovered it had been stolen around midday on Saturday.

Hyde Park: A Staffordshire bull terrier valued at £400 was stolen from the rear garden of a house in Chequer Road between 3am and 4am on Sunday.
