Areas around Doncaster, such as Mexborough, Edlington, and Denby, have been blighted by a number of organised crime gangs in recent years. They control the local drug trade and are involved in intimidation, using violence with weapons including firearms.
Vulnerable children and young people are often ruthlessly exploited to be drug runners.
