A young woman is being sought by police in connection with charity box thefts from premises in Bawtry, Doncaster.

They took place at the Tasting Note off-licence and the reception area of the Crown Hotel on Market Hill last Saturday afternoon.

A white woman aged 20-25, slim, with brown shoulder length hair was seen to put the boxes in her bag and leave the premises, say police.

Women’s handbags have also been targeted by thieves operating in Doncaster town centre.

A bag containing a £500 mobile phone was taken from Louie’s bar in Priory Walk on Sunday night and a £250 phone was taken from the bag of a woman enjoying a night out in the Staff of Life in Princegate.
