Cricket legend Graham Gooch is making a special appearance at Doncaster Racecourse during the Racing Post Trophy on October 25.

He will be signing autographs and posing for pictures and is the latest in a long line of sporting heroes to visit.

Gooch is one of the most successful international batsmen of his generation, and the most prolific run scorer of all time, having achieved 67,057 runs across first-class and limited-overs games.

He will be available to speak to fans between 2pm and 5pm, and follows visits by darts player Bobby George and footballer Gordon Banks as part of the Summer of Legends Racedays.

Mark Spincer, managing director of Doncaster Racecourse, said: “It is going to be really exciting to have cricket legend Graham Gooch making a special guest appearance at the Racing Post Trophy meeting. The chance to meet with one of the most successful international batsmen of his generation will make for some great entertainment off the track to compliment what is set to be a fantastic day’s racing.”
