Council bosses urge residents to register for Doncaster mayoral election

Residents can only vote if they are registered to do so, and officials are concerned that not all who are eligible for the ballot have their names on the list.

Council chief executive and returning officer, Jo Miller, said: “Make sure you are on the electoral register and able to vote.

“The elections take place on Thursday 2 May 2013. This is your chance to choose your mayor.”

Residents can request a voter registration form or apply for a postal vote by calling 0800 180 4604 or log onto
