A LEGAL clerk is swapping court papers for a parachute when she plans to leap out of a plane with the Red Devils for charity.
Claire Pendlebury, who works at the Wath office of Atteys Solicitors, will be doing her skydive with the world famous parachute display team at an airfield in Langar, Nottingham, on July 3.
She has already raised more than £1000 for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity in pledges from friends, family and work colleagues.
Claire said: “The thought of jumping out of a plane fills me with complete fear, but with that amount of money at stake, there’s no way I’m backing down.
“Weston Park Hospital is a cause very close to my heart because they took exceptional care of my dad when he needed them.
“As one of only three dedicated cancer hospitals in the country, it does some amazing work supporting cancer.”
Atteys has been raising money for Weston Park all year round, including a sponsored walk, dress down days and a charity run. Staff together have nearly raised £3000.
