A prominent law firm in Yorkshire is to pay its workforce the living wage - resulting in a pay rise to numerous members of staff.

Workers at Lupton Fawcett Denison Till, which has offices in Leeds, Sheffield and York, will benefit from the move.

The firm has decided to adjust the salaries of its staff and follow the ethos of the Living Wage Organisation, only the second law firm in the region to do so.

The voluntary rate is higher than the national living wage of £7.20 an hour for over-25s from April 2016. The firm has also agreed to go beyond the criteria and pay its legal apprentices the same rate.
