A Barnsley civil engineering firm is celebrating after scooping two prizes at the Barnsley & Rotherham Business Awards.
Palmer Construction Ltd scooped the prestigious business of the year award and managing director Simon Dennis was named business person of the year at chamber-organised event.
The company was also highly commended in the business growth category.

Palmer Construction is a provider of specialist civil engineering and construction services for the UK utilities and infrastructure sectors.
Judges were impressed as the company has achieved year-on-year growth in recent years.
The Barnsley & Rotherham Business Awards saw 55 companies shortlisted across 11 categories.
The winners were announced at a ceremony hosted by Look North presenter Clare Frisby at the Barnsley Metrodome on Friday, October 23.
Other notable winners included The Cowling Creamery, which was named most promising new business and charity of the year award winners Safe@Last.
