Buses diverted due to Doncaster town centre 5k race

A number of bus routes will be diverted in Doncaster town centre due to a 5k race.

The 23rd annual run, which attracts hundreds of participants, will take place on Wednesday, July 18, from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.

This year's edition was postponed from last Wednesday as it was postponed over safety concerns because it clashed with England's World Cup semi-final match against Croatia.

There will be a number of road closures during the event and bus routes will also be diverted.

Buses will operate as follows:-

1. Services from Thorne Road and South Parade will divert via Waterdale and Trafford Way to and from Doncaster Frenchgate Interchange.

2. Services on Trafford Way from Carr House Road and White Rose Way to operate directly along Trafford Way to and from Doncaster Frenchgate Interchange.

3. Services from Cleveland Street to operate via Trafford Way to and from Doncaster Frenchgate Interchange.

4. Services 15 and 15a to operate via Church Way to and from Doncaster Frenchgate Interchange.
