Doncaster rail passengers are being warned of delays and disruption following problems with a river bridge.

Network Rail workers are currently inspecting the bridge near Goole, with delays of up to forty minutes to trains between Hull and Doncaster.

A spokesman said: “There is no firm estimate yet of how long disruption will last but it is likely to continue until at least 13:00.”

Replacement buses are running between Doncaster and Goole / Brough and also between Doncaster and Kirk Sandall / Scunthorpe.

Northern Rail services may be diverted via Selby.
