Belton racegoers enjoy Ladies Day

Getting dressed up to the nines were Isle racegoers last week who attended the DFS Ladies Day at Doncaster Racecourse.

Just over 14,500 people went through the gates improving upon the 14,446 who attended last year and the 13,385 that turned out for the annual event in 2012.

Mark Spincer, Managing Director of Doncaster Racecourse, commented: “It is great to have a higher attendance for a second consecutive day at the Ladbrokes St Leger Festival.

“DFS Ladies Day is always a tremendous occasion and today was no exception. We are now looking forward to the final two days of the Ladbrokes St Leger Festival. There will be tickets available at the gates tomorrow and on Saturday.”

Wednesday’s crowd topped 6,000 on John Smith’s Opening Day of the Ladbrokes St Leger Festival, as against 5,796 seen last year and 5,037 in 2012.
