bacon butties are causing a bit of ill-feeling at a Doncaster sports club.
Members of Bawtry Cricket Club, who share the Memorial Sports Ground pavilion in South Parade, Bawtry, with the local football club have raised concerns about the smell and grease caused by the frying of bacon sandwiches by the footballers.
Bawtry Town Council has suggested that the door of the sports pavilion be left open during frying sessions or that a ventilation unit be installed.
Town clerk Jennifer Worthington also told councillors that the local authority had undertaken a spot hygiene inspection of the sports pavilion.
In future officers should seek permission before accessing the sports pavilion, and the recreation committee will discuss the matter.
