Arsonists start Doncaster blaze involving railway sleepers

Arsonists set railway sleepers, trees and bushes alight in a night time incident in one of Doncaster’s towns last night.

Firefighters had to be sent out to deal with the blaze that broke out late on Sunday evening.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said today: “A fire crew from Thorne station attended a deliberate fire involving cut trees, bushes and railway sleepers at 9.35pm on South End, Thorne, Doncaster The crew left the scene at 10pm.”
