Arsonists set fire to house, vehicle and bin in single night across South Yorkshire

Arsonists set fire to a house, a vehicle and a wheelie bin in a single night across South Yorkshire.

Yobs sparked a blaze inside a derelict property in Tune Street, near Barnsley town centre, at 12.30am this morning.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus spent about an hour extinguishing the blaze, which had been started in the living room.

They also conducted a search of the property but nobody was inside.

Crews from Barnsley Central and Cudworth fire stations were called out to tackle the incident.

A motorbike went up in flames in the car park of the Black Bull pub in Ecclesfield at about 1am.

Firefighters from Rivelin Fire Station put the blaze out.

A wheelie bin was set on fire on a tennis court in Herringthorpe Valley Park at 3am.

A crew from Rotherham Central Fire Station was dispatched to extinguish the blaze.
