Air ambulance at scene as emergency services flock to Doncaster street

The air ambulance landed at the scene of a serious emergency on a Doncaster street, with police and paramedics also in attendance.

The emergency services were called to Auckland Road in Wheatley at 12.51pm yesterday (16 April) to reports of concern for safety of a person.

Eyewitnesses reported heavy police activity outside the address with the air ambulance reported to have landed on nearby Town Field.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “We attended alongside the ambulance service.”

No other details have been issued.
