Actress Sheridan Smith is set to be awarded the OBE in the New Year’s Honours, according to national newspaper reports.
The Isle of Axholme starlet wowed TV audiences with her portrayal of sixties singer Cilla Black in ITV biopic earlier this year.
According to The Sun on Sunday, Sheridan, 33, will feature on The Queen’s list which will be released officially on New Year’s Eve.
She is to be honoured for services to television, according to the newspaper.
It’s not the first time the star’s work has been recognised, as she has previously won a BAFTA for her role in the Great Biggest Train Robbery drama Mrs Biggs.
