A TEENAGER has been airlifted to hospital after he impaled himself on railings.

The 16-year-old boy was trying to climb over fencing in Sandford Road, Balby, when the accident happened at about 5pm yesterday.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening but he was taken by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary.

South Yorkshire Police officers were also at the scene to help clear an area for the air ambulance to land.
