Lakeside Village is looking for volunteers to join its second annual Big Sleepout which will see scores of brave volunteers endure a night under the stars to raise awareness and funds for homeless people across the UK.

The event, on Friday 30 September, is in association with local children’s charity SAFE@LAST and particiapnts will sleep at Lakeside Village for one night to collect cash for thousands of young runaways who are forced into a life on the streets.

This year the charity hopes to beat last year’s total of 70 participants and for the first time, the event will expand across all four boroughs in South Yorkshire with sleepouts taking place in Rotherham, Barnsley and Sheffield.
