A Doncaster singing sensation signed by the music legend behind Oasis is back with a new single album and tour to delight fans.
After causing a splash with his debut album North South Divide in autumn 2013, Doncaster’s acclaimed teenage troubadour John McCullagh and his new band The Escorts are back with a bang
The Doncaster teen is signed by the legendary Alan MGee’s label 359 Music .
John’s new album New Born Cry – produced by Cast and The La’s star John Power – includes previous singles Towerland Lullaby and a remixed version of Box Of Tricks, as well as forthcoming single She’s Calling Me
She’s Calling Me was released as a download on Monday.
Alan said: “John is an amazing talent for such a young kid. To be honest, he’s just a natural.”
The new album is due for release in May and will be supported by a national tour starting next month and including dates in Leeds and Manchester.
There will also be a first show at hometown venue Diamond Live Lounge, on Wood Street, Doncaster, on Saturday, May 9.
Joining John on stage will be The Escorts – lead guitarist Matt Breen, bassist Chris Jones and drummer Nick Miniski.
Since getting signed John has gone gone from strength to strength support Richard Hawley and Babyshambles, Paul Heaton, The Strypes and Alabama 3, among others.
