The ‘Little’ Plough in Doncaster only has one small problem.
That’s trying to direct strangers to it when they ask where it is!
But it’s not a problem regulars have at this cracking little hostelry tucked away on one of Doncaster’s shortest thoroughfares - they know exactly where it is and they love it.
Nick and his team are always ready to welcome drinkers to the iintimate establishment which is situated in West Laith Gate - handy for both shoppers at the nearby Frenchgate Centre and travellers from across the road at the railway station.
Quite simply it’s like pubs used to be, friendly, cosy and full of character and perhaps most of all, good company and fine beer. CAMRA love this place and they know about things like that. A rare breed in town these days with less than half a dozen matching that description.
All sorts going on - quiz nights, Sunday lunch and a weekly draw but most of all bags of atmosphere, chat if you want or just read your paper - lovely jubbly.
Not the biggest drinking spot in town, but that’s just the point.
