doncaster pop sensation Louis Tomlinson is set to play at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics.

The teen heart throb and his fellow One Direction bandmates have been approached by organisers to perform a rendition of their number one hit What Makes You Beautiful on August 12.

The honour would be another career highlight for the band that broke records when their debut album became the first debut British album to ever reach number one in America.

The band are currently touring in the States but are said to be missing their home comforts.

Louis, 20, of Bessacarr, and his bandmates Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Harry Styles are putting in requests for Yorkshire Tea and specific sausages.
