Power was produced by Fryars and Luke Smith, with additional production by Rodaidh McDonald (the xx, How to Dress Well, Savages), and includes the critically acclaimed singles Prettiest Ones Fly Highest and The Power. The latter, plus Cool Like Me and album track In My Arms, are available as instant grat tracks for those pre-ordering the long player.
Fryars will play a special one-off London headline show at the Courtyard Theatre on 14 October, and is confirmed as support for Lily Allen on her UK tour in November-December. He co-wrote two tracks on Lily Allen’s number one album Sheezus and sometimes plays live with her, most recently a short notice headline performance at Latitude Festival.
Fryars is the musical brainchild of London-based 24 year old Benjamin Garrett, whose peerless sound has won him fans from Kanye West to Depeche Mode, and seen him tour with acts as diverse as London Grammar and Wild Beasts. Fryars also features on - and produced - Cold, the recent Rae Morris single.
