Tickets are now on sale for the 2011 Wath Festival – and it promises to be the best yet.
The organisers have announced a lineup of top folk stars for the six-day event which runs from April 27 - May 2 at venues in the town centre.
Professional acts so far announced include Frances Black, Tannahill Weavers, Drever Mccusker Woomble, Chris Wood, UISCEDWR, Kieran Halpin, Elbow Jane, John Tams and Barry Coope, Anna Shannon, Cathryn Craig and Brian Willoughby, Jez Lowe, Bernard Wrigley, Holly Taymar, Charlie Barker and Harriet Bartlet.
The community festival includes: Wath Morris Team, Latin American Dance with Taboo, Francis Cassidy Irish Dancers, Barnsley Samba Band, Vuka Africa Art, Family Entertainer Maynard Flipflap with Man In A Box and Daft As A Brush shows, Street Dancers, Maypole Dancers, Indian Music & Dance with Rock & Dhol, The Naughty Pixie Yurt, Punch & Judy, facepainting and a range of stalls and family activities.
