Phantom of the Country Opera.

This is a classic tale with a twist, and despite the title you don't have to be a hardened country music fan to enjoy this production.

There is a complete mix of styles with tunes which will linger in your mind and have you humming as you leave the theatre.

The twist is that the story takes place in The Country Opera and follows Chrissie who gives up her life as a famous opera singer at La Scala to return to her roots after the death of her mother who worked in the Country Opera.

There is some comedy in the characters and the lyrics of the songs, some of which are very tongue in cheek . 'Hog Butchers Daughter' and 'God Save The Queen' in particular, as well as some very poignant moments which may have you searching for a tissue!

Tickets are now on sale at the Plowright Theatre with all tickets just £10 on the first night.
