Fudge makers sell out of stock within first few days of their business opening in Doncaster

Death by Fudge is the name of a new confectionery business, based in Rossington.
They set up just 10 days ago and it is run by Doncastarian couple Scott Wood and Rose-Marie Elliott, both aged 31.

Hide AdThe duo have been blown away with their success after what started as a hobby has become what they say is a booming business.
“It got me thinking that we don’t really have anything like that in Doncaster and so I started to research how it was made.
“I had a go at home and the kids and the neighbours really seemed to like it.”

Hide AdScott was persuaded by family to try to sell his fudge so he went through the process of gaining the relevant Health and Safety qualifications and then set up a Facebook page.
“I honestly thought this was just going to be a weekend hobby that would maybe earn us an extra £30 a week on the run up to Christmas,” Scott said.
“But our first post gained 350 likes and we sold out in just a few hours.

Hide AdBusiness is going so well that Scott has had to buy a new fridge to hold all the fudge he is making.
Scott and Rose-Marie have already gained requests from America and Scotland for their fudge despite only having been open for business less than a month.
On their first weekend in operation the couple decided to donate all of their profits to the Doncaster Cancer Support Drop in Centre.
They managed to raise £120 in the memory of a loved lost one who recently died.

Hide AdThe fudge comes in unique flavours such as lemon meringue, pistachio and cranberry and Biscoff.
They also make vanilla and butter fudge flavours for those who have a traditional sweet tooth.
With hopes of making gluten and vegan options at no extra cost in the near future.
