A play centre is celebrating its 20th birthday by giving away gilt edged entry for life and a lucky Mexborough youngster is the first to benefit.

The Wacky Warehouse at Manor Farm, Denaby Lane, in Doncaster, is rewarding 20 lucky children with a lifetime of free play, after creating one-off platinum cards – worth more than £1,000 – to mark their special anniversary.

Fans of Wacky Warehouse’s Facebook page were asked to upload nostalgic photos from Wacky parties that have occurred in the past 20 years, with the best 20 photos each winning a platinum card.

The first of the 20 recipients of the card was Keeley Bostock, from Mexborough, who uploaded a photo from 2010 featuring her twins’ first birthday party.

She said: “I couldn’t believe it when I heard I’d won free entry for life for my daughter, Darcie. I used to love going to Wacky Warehouse when I was a child and now Darcie does too so it’s incredible that she can visit as much as she likes. I think we’re going to get a lot of use out of this card.”

General manager of Manor Farm, Glen Simmonds, said: “We wanted to commemorate our special anniversary by reminiscing on all the birthday parties we’ve hosted over the past two decades. There were some really lovely pictures but Keeley’s photo really gave us a smile and deserved to win. The Wacky platinum card is a one-off for our 20th Birthday celebrations, so Darcie really has won something very special and we hope she enjoys years of wacky fun with it.”

The platinum card was created for Wacky Warehouse’s 20th birthday as platinum is the traditional gift for a 20th anniversary.

The card is a step up from the Wacky Gold Card, which entitles the holder to one year of unlimited play. Wacky Warehouse has 75 outlets nationwide and caters for children aged up to 12 years old. For more information visit www.wackywarehouse.co.uk.
