Dirty Rotten Scoundrels – The Musical, Lyceum Theatre

Based on the classic comedy film starring Sir Michael Caine and Steve Martin, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels will transport you to the French Riviera as two seasoned swindlers attempt to hoodwink a millionaire heiress.

As the duo compete, they discover that there is only room on the Riviera for one of them.

And the heiress, played by Carley Stenson, is not exactly a pushover, either.

She has a few tricks up her sleeve to fool the pair of them.

The show stars Michael Praed, best known as the ‘Hooded Man’ in the title role of the 1980s drama series Robin of Sherwood.

Michael, last seen on stage in Sheffield two years ago in High Society, plays the suave older conman, Lawrence.

He is up against younger cocky Brooklyn hustler Freddy, played by Noel Sullivan.

Noel has carved out a successful career in musical theatre following the break-up of 2000s band Hear’Say, which was formed on
the ITV reality show, Popstars.

Multi -award-winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell, direct from his smash-hit success Kinky Boots, Hairspray and Legally Blonde, leads the creative team.

It is written by Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winner Jeffrey Lane, the writer behind TV’s Mad About You, with music and lyrics by David Yazbek, winner of the Drama Desk Award for the Broadway and West End hit musical version of The Full Monty.

The show runs this week until Saturday.
