“Straight out of Barnsley comes a Punk Rock tsunami of noise with extremely dark lyrics…
“Portraying the darker side of punk with intensity and a deep sincerity. The heart of South Yorkshire is bared to you all –watch it bleed.”
So say System Of Hate, who were formed at the end of 2011, initially by bassist Paddy O’Neill as a recording side project to Total Confusion. That punk outfit has been going on and off since 1978 and System of Hate involves three of the bandmates.
Dave Sutcliffe took on vocal duties for the new band with his brother Eric Sutcliffe on guitar and Andy Blower on drums.
Eventually Carl Gulliford took over on drums and the band recorded some tracks for their debut EP, Immortal.

Cambodia features ex-members of Barmy Surplus, Spunksters, Playground Bully and X Rippers.
Tomorrow’s gig at the pub in Regent Street in the town centre runs from 8.30pm until 11pm and entry is free.
