Fifth date added for Motorpoint Arena Sheffield - Tuesday, September 18 2012

Due to phenomenal demand a new date has been added to the ‘Mrs Brown Rides again’ tour at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. The new date will now be the first of five nights in Sheffield running from Tuesday 18 to Saturday September 22. The current ‘Good Mourning Mrs Brown’ tour has proven a roaring success with audiences throughout the UK including five sold - out nights at Sheffield City Hall in March 2012.

‘Mrs Brown Rides Again’ follows on the heels of ‘Good Mourning Mrs Brown’; Agnes Brown and her dysfunctional family romp their way through what seems to be the mammy’s last days at home. After hearing a plot, by her children, to have her put into a home, Agnes decides to prove them wrong by displaying a new lease of life. However, this is not going to be as easy as it seems for along the way she must deal with a psychiatrist trying to put her in her place, or maybe away, her son’s gay partner who wants to give birth, her neighbour’s wait for a heart bypass and worst of all, a family secret that everyone seems to know except her.

Mrs Brown’s Boys TV series made its debut on BBC ONE in February last year and proved automatic ratings smash for Mrs Agnes Brown, so much so that a Christmas special and a second series recently returned to our screens. A third series has just been commissioned and likely to be aired early 2013.
